AKIKO THE EXPLORER in BRUNEI

Brunei or Begara Brunei Darussalam is a rich country because of its oil. We visited the Mosques and we also went to Museums like the Royal Regalia Building that has a lot of gold! You can also see the full regalia of Sultan, including the crown and royal chariot. Too bad we cannot take pictures inside the museum.

James Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque -- the largest mosque in Brunei

Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque -- considered as the major landmark of Brunei

So many Jollibee Fastfood here! This is a carbonara (which we also don't have in the Philippines)

Chicken Barbecue (which we also don't have in the Philippines)

Kampong Ayer (Water Village). It is known as the largest water village in the world. In this picture I was riding in their water taxi.

The Empire Hotel and Country Club. Breathtaking view.
This is one of the most beautiful places that you should visit in Brunei.

Even the escalator is gold!

AHHH!!!

Had a dinner buffet at The Empire Hotel

Jerudong Park. No one is here. Literally
the famous ABC. Really delicious

The White House of Sultan

Ate at Amina Arif Restaurant. Their specialty: Sticky rice

Not really a fan of their cusine

Sardines

A kind of eggplant, yes it is an eggplant.

We cannot drink alcohol here in Brunei. It is not sold anywhere in the country and consumption of liquor in public is prohibited by law. Meaning NO bars, NO casinos, NO NIGHTLIFE in Brunei. But our tourist guide told us that people from Brunei or tourists who want to drink could go to Singapore and its only one hour drive.

The scenery, culture, people, and ambiance in Brunei are wonderful but I'm the type of person who loves adventure-- sweaty heart pumping adrenaline rush kind of adventure. Brunei is the place for you if you just want to chill and relax all day long.
